Overview
In Castile, the primary gameplay focuses on the strategic collection and progression of heroes to build optimal teams capable of overcoming diverse in-game challenges. Key individual PVE modes include the main story missions, Gates of Hell, and the Black Emperor's Trials. For cooperative PVE content, players can engage in the Forbidden Magic Prison and Rougelike dungeon experiences. The game also features a variety of competitive arenas for PVP battles and GVE challenges that foster alliance collaboration.
Players can control a team of up to five members to explore each chapter's maps. These maps are populated with a set number of monsters and interactive objects (or NPCs). As players navigate, they can challenge monsters to earn rewards and interact with objects to trigger random events, which also yield rewards upon completion.
Each map features several node stages, which typically involve a segment of the storyline or a battle. Once a player completes the required tasks for a node stage, it is considered cleared. Completing all node stages on a map allows players to progress to the next map for further exploration. Each chapter comprises multiple exploration maps, and finishing all node stages on these maps grants access to the next chapter.
A tower sealed with monsters and precious treasures, designed to test and enhance players' skills. By successfully conquering the Black Emperor's trials, players can earn silvers and other valuable resources. Additionally, players can perform daily sweeps to collect even more resources.
On the other side of the Gates of hell lies a world teeming with well-trained demons. Players can strategically assemble their teams to defeat these adversaries, progressing through layers of challenges and earning substantial rewards along the way.
A prison holding the continent's most formidable monsters, and hiding countless treasures, awaits you. Players can team up with others to take down powerful bosses together. Of course, for those brave and strong enough, solo challenges are also an option.
The Dungeon is an exploration-style roguelike instance where players can choose any difficulty to delve into. Currently, there are four types of events within the instance: Combat Events, Healing Events, Random Events, and Camp Events.
Combat Events: When a Combat Event is triggered, players must fight against NPCs. Upon victory, players can select one relevant relic as a reward, enhancing their exploration abilities within the instance. These enhancements can include new skills, stat boosts, or special abilities.
Healing Events: Healing Events allow players to restore their party's health or status, enabling them to continue their exploration.
Random Events: These events can trigger unpredictable stories or challenges, adding an element of surprise to the exploration process.
Camp Events: Camp Events offer players a temporary respite, where they can restore their party's condition, strategize, and gear up for the next set of challenges.
In the Arena, players can challenge others, earning points and climbing the rankings with each victory. Higher rankings come with substantial rewards. Additionally, players must set up defensive formations to fend off attacks from other challengers.
Once players join a league, they can collaborate with other members to take on the League Boss, earning League Chests as rewards. Each part of the League Boss has its own specific weaknesses, and players can achieve remarkable results by using heroes tailored to exploit these vulnerabilities. Of course, the key to success lies in the cooperation and active participation of all League members.
In the Soulwell of Evil open, players can spend Tarot Coins and Sanity Points to take on challenges. By doing so, they can earn Divine Materials and Talent Items, with a chance to directly obtain Tarot Cards as well.
